Margaret Eleanor Atwood (18 Kasım 1939 doğumlu) Kanadalı şair, romancı, edebiyat eleştirmeni, denemeci, mucit, öğretmen ve çevre aktivisti. 1961'den bu yana 17 şiir kitabı, 16 roman, 10 kurmaca olmayan kitap, sekiz kısa kurgu koleksiyonu, sekiz çocuk kitabı ve bir grafik roman, şiir ve kurguda birkaç küçük basım yayımlamıştır. Atwood, Booker Ödülü (iki kez), Arthur C. Clarke Ödülü, Genel Vali Ödülü, Franz Kafka Ödülü ve Ulusal Kitap Eleştirmenleri ve PEN Merkezi ABD Yaşam Boyu Başarı Ödülleri de dahil olmak üzere pek çok ödül kazandı.

Atwood ayrıca LongPen'in mucidi ve geliştiricisidir ve dokümanların uzaktan robotik olarak yazılmasını kolaylaştıran ilgili teknolojilerdir. Eserlerinin bir kısmı film ve televizyon için uyarlandı ve popülerliğini arttırdı.
