William Makepeace Thackeray (18 Temmuz 1811 - 24 Aralık 1863) Hindistan doğumlu bir İngiliz romancı, yazar ve illüstratör. Hicivli eserleri, özellikle İngiliz toplumunun panoramik bir portresi olan 1848 romanı Vanity Fair ve Stanley Kubrick tarafından 1975 tarihli bir filme uyarlanan 1844 Barry The Luck of Lucky adlı romanıyla tanınır.
